Fulton County Free Saturday
Saturday, September 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On the first Saturday of every month, the High Museum of Art welcomes Fulton County residents to the Museum for free. Fulton County residents who show proof of residency may view our current exhibitions as well as the Permanent Collection. Admission is free for Fulton County residents with I.D. on the first Saturday of each month. Students attending college or university in Fulton Country will also be admitted free with a valid college ID. Fulton Free Saturdays are sponsored by the Fulton County Arts Council. Major funding for this organization is provided by the Fulton County Commissioners under the guidance of the Fulton County Arts Council.

Bank of America’s “Museums on Us” Program
Saturday, September 4 and 5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 12 to 5 p.m.
The High Museum of Art is part of Bank of America’s “Museums on Us” (MOU) program, which offers Bank of America cardholders the opportunity to visit the High free of charge on the first full weekend of every month. The High joins more than 120 museums and cultural institutions already participating throughout the United States. To qualify for the Museums on Us program, Bank of America customers simply present their ATM, credit or check card and a valid photo ID to gain free general admission* to any participating institution. For a complete listing of participating museums and other program information, visit www.bankofamerica.com/museums. *MOU is not valid for special exhibitions, fundraising events or ticketed shows. Not to be combined with any other discounts or offers. Free admission does not guarantee reservation. Offer valid the first full weekend of each month through December 4 and 5, 2010. 

Thursday Nights at the High – ½ priced tickets!
Thursdays; 4 to 8 p.m. Relax and rejuvenate at the High after work! The Museum offers extended hours at half price every Thursday until 8 p.m. This is a great way to see the museum’s special exhibitions and permanent collection while avoiding the weekend crowds. A guided tour of Permanent Collection highlights is offered at 6:30 p.m. Free with museum admission and free to members.

FAMILY PROGRAMMING:

Toddler Thursdays

Thursdays; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Greene Family Education Center

·  September 2: Sunny Shapes - Use the sun to help you create a geometric work of art.

Experience this popular pre-school art education program! Parents and their children ages 2 to 4 are encouraged to look at works of art within the Museum’s special exhibitions and permanent collections as well as to create a masterpiece to take home. Drop by any time and stay as long as you like. A treat for parents and toddlers! No registration required. Sponsored by Carters/ OshKosh. No registration required. Free with museum admission and free to members.

Family Workshops: Surreal Saturdays

Saturdays, September 4, 11, 18, 25; 1 to 4 p.m.

· September 4: Face Making, Dalí Style - Dalí painted portraits, sculpted faces, and combined photos to make entirely new images. Today you’re going to print a face onto a new background. See if you can make a different portrait with each print.

Satisfy your craving for good design and participate in a design-it-yourself studio project at the High this summer. Families can make something different every Friday and Saturday during June and July from 1 to 4 p.m. Projects include creating your own wrapping paper, stickers, and chairs. Check our website for specific project dates. No registration required.  Free with museum admission.  Free for members.

Tickets are available online at www.High.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the High Museum admission desk, Woodruff Arts Center Box Office or by phone at 404-733-5000 (404-733-5386 TDD). All ticket orders placed by phone will incur a $3-per-ticket service charge.

Audio Guides
An audio guide will be available for purchase for $5 for general public, and $3 for members, complete group bookings and children age 17 and under. The audio guide will be included for school group admission.
